I had stumbled drunk here back in 2018 not realizing it was a Michelin restaurant. Fortunately, it was on our list to come back to have a more proper dinner where our memory would still function. Our friends wanted a taste of a Michelin type of experience, and in lieu of a tasting menu, we opted for a more shareable format. Reservations are fairly easy to come by, so on a Sunday night, the restaurant wasn’t super full at 5 PM.

This restaurant is located at the southern tip of Long Island City close to Vernon. I would probably classify this as a more upscale Peruvian restaurant with some romantic vibes to it. There is another Peruvian restaurant north of here that is probably more casual and less formal. Truth be told, we actually like this restaurant a lot more than the other one as this one is more consistent albeit a little more pricey.

This place sucks a lot, and it’s expensive. Food was just eh. I got the steak pita, and I was still very hungry. Overrated.

This place was surprisingly good. The shakshooka and bread was really good. Too bad it’s CLOSED.

The chicken was good, but it’s a little pricey though. Seems to be a common theme nowadays.

This place was pretty good. It’s expensive sorta, but the lomo saltado was decent.

So bad. The lomo saltado is really dry. Can’t seem to find a decent lomo saltado in NYC.

“Gourmet” lomo saltado is like paying $20 tacos. This is a ripoff and not worth the $20+. Good, but not great.

This place is pretty cheap. I remember both the lomo and pollo being a bit on the dry side, but it’s so cheap not much of a reason to complain I guess.

Pretty decent Korean BBQ. Also a bit expensive, and not as good as Let’s Meat.
