Thai Noodle House
Summary
I was looking for Wondee Siam but somehow ended up here.
Like most Thai places, there are very few that are bad.
The kanom jeeb is pretty decent. It’s like fried shrimp shiu mai balls.
The country style curry was ordered with Chicken. Despite it having 2 pepper signs on the menu, it’s actually not that spicy. The curry was watery, but it’s easy to consume once you mix the rice with the sauce. The sauce has a ton of salty flavor in it though, so I find it a good match with a thai iced tea.
The Tom Yum noodle with minced chicken and flat rice noodles is not my favorite Tom Yum noodle compared to other Thai restaurants in NYC that I’ve eaten. They give you a lot of minced chicken meat, but the noodles are not super abundant. The broth was more sweet than sour, but that’s ok. I still like Thai Sliders in Chelsea so far for Tom Yum noodles.
The service is fast albeit seating is a bit on the tighter side.
Final Verdict
Good Thai place that you can’t really go wrong with. I think the pad see ew would probably be a good choice for next time.
Yelp Jabs
I received my seamless order for 8 pm at 6:30. There’s a reason why I put in my order for 8:00, and now I’ll be having cold, stale Thai noodles and crispy pork when I get the chance to eat my meal tonight, which is probably not what the restaurant wants for its customers.
Definitely rate a restaurant based on their seamless order. I wonder when is Eleven Madison going to start delivering, so we can rate that as well.
