Jacobs Pickles

Summary

This is the main site to the sister site Maison Pickle.

The food here is really good, filling, and not too expensive.

Of course, you have to get the pickles. For appetizers, we got 4 pickles (spicy, green beans, green tomatoes, and regular). We also got a side of fried pickles. I liked them all to be honest, and would love to get the carrots next time.

Next, they had 3 different types of root beers on draft. I went with the one that had less vanilla and more root beer flavor fizz in it. I believe it was the Sprecher one.

The chicken, bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was enormous. The biscuit is homemade, and this is nothing short of filling. Flavor wise, it’s axactly what you think it tastes like.

The baby back ribs surprisingly was tender and had fall off the bone meat. The coleslaw had some of the pickles in it, but I didn’t care much for it. The baked potato was pretty good.

All in all, this is your standard American / Southern flair with an emphasis on filling you up with decent Manhattan prices.

Final Verdict

This is a great spot to go to if people are undecided on restaurants near 86th in the Upper West Side.
